2009 Silver State Challenge
January 10, 2009 - 2009 Silver State Challenge (150 miles)
January 17, 2009 - 2009 Silver State Challenge (220 miles
January 24th, 2009 - 2009 Silver State Challenge (330 miles)
The 330 mile-race activities will be held January 23 - 24, 2009.
Entry fee - $500 (1 bird, 2 backups). Perch Fee - $100 per bird
for first 2 birds or $250 for 3 birds. Perch fee and Entry Fee must
accompany birds when shipped. Limited to 600 entries or a total
of 1,800 birds.
If both the primary and backup(s) are present after the 100 mile
training toss (January 3, 2009), the backup bird(s) can be activated
for an
additional $500.
The top 50 birds, based on Average Speed, will be auctioned off
online with 50% to the breeder and 50% to Silver State Challenge
after expenses.
All birds in the first drop will split their payout positions. All
other prizes will be paid by clocking position. The race committee
will settle all unforeseen circumstances and their decision is final.
All birds will be vaccinated for POX and PMV when they arrive at
the loft. NO EXCEPTIONS. Check the website

Hosted by the Central Kansas Flyers, Hutchinson, KS.
250 miles from Pauls Valley, OK to Medora, KS. Host loft is
Double "W" Loft (Bill & Jason Wolf).
Activities begin on Friday, July 10 with a preview night and basketing
(entertainment and snacks provided). On Saturday, July 11
all are welcome for a "Chow Down' on BBQ (all you can buffet)!
Visit, enjoy a raffle and good food while waiting for the birds
to arrive home. First ten will be auctioned. Sunday,
July 12, join us for rolls, coffee and juice, more visiting and
farewells.

September 1 - 30, 2009 Four Races to support the new Poplar Springs Elementary Pigeon Project - Don't Miss out!
We are starting a new pigeon project at Poplar Springs Elementary in Meridian, MS. We currently have a project at Harris Elementary, The Flying Tigers. Loft construction begins next week and we need your help.
We will have four races to three lofts this fall. Poplar Springs Pandas, Harris Tigers, and The Teacher. Please enter a team or teams in this race series. Each team will consist of 3 birds. One in each loft. 1/3 of your $150 entry fee will go to the school project. 2/3 will go back to you in prize money. Remaining birds will fly in ob season. Please send birds after April 15. All birds must be in the building by 11:30am. There will be bands available at all auctions 3 bands for $200.00 these will be eligible for the FVC Auction Race, as well as the Patriot Challenge.
April 19, 2009 check in opens at 10:00am auction starts at noon.

October 9, 2009 - 26th Annual OCR Race
Race will be 350 miles from Sullivan, Indiana. Reporting times will
be from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Shipping on October 8, 2009 (6:00
p.m.-8:00 p.m.). Homemade dinner and desserts served on shipping
night.
There will also be an auction race. Auction will be held on May
2, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.

Hosted by the Golden State Flyers RPC. 300 mile race to
fly on October 11, 2009. Perch fee $100 per bird or 4
for $300. After 4 birds, entry is $50 each. Fees
due when birds arrive at loft. Make checks payable to
Golden State Flyers. Ship from March 15 through May 1st.
Replacements must be received by May 15. Additional $100
if bird goes to the race. Fee due day of shipping.
