RACING PIGEON LOFT PROJECT

American Racing Pigeon Union is pleased to present the:
THOMPSON LANE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB RACING PIGEON LOFT PROJECT

At the beginning of 2002, AU presented information about several youth groups that had begun in the pigeon raising and racing hobby. Vic Lutz, the Director of the Thompson Lane Boys and Girls Club in Nashville, Tennessee, contacted us for information to help them get started on a loft project for the youth group. Mr. Lutz recognized the value of the responsibility for the care and training of homing pigeons in teaching life values to the children.

Local fanciers, Jim Pancake, Gary Norris and Jerry Myatt responded as builders and mentors
for the youth group. They were instrumental in making the loft and pigeon project a reality.

The following photos illustrate how the project loft took shape. The kids and Mr. Lutz joined in the effort.

Here is how it took shape:

We selected specific photos to provide an overview of the building process and the plan drawings.
