How do you let more people know about the racing sport and provide
a needed service at the same time? You guessed it – bird releases.
AU member, Joe LaFauci had a wonderful day lending his birds at
a church in Palo Alto, California. After mass, the Priest blessed
his birds, and Joe shared all the information he could about Homing
Pigeons with captivated children. The bird release followed.
Joe had a great time and a lot of fun providing a service that means
so much to others. He was also able to hand out brochures from the
AU.
Joe is a member of the San Francisco RPC and the Bay Cities Combine.
He, like so many AU members, realize not only the value to the community
but the contribution to sport preservation.
