Homing Pigeons At The Movies
For several months, the American Racing Pigeon Union has shared
information about the full-length cartoon movie feature coming
out in theaters this year. Several individual members and clubs
prepared for the event by contacting the AU for promotion
handouts that would be helpful to promote the sport in
conjunction with the movie.
The Omaha Racing Pigeon Association in Nebraska took advantage of
a fun opportunity for promotion at their local theater. Members
of the OMRPA made arrangements with a theater to have a homing
pigeon display in the foyer. AU promotion brochures were given
to moviegoers. They were delighted to see a real life version of
the movie’s pigeon hero.
Events such as the showing of this movie make valuable promotion
opportunities for racing clubs seeking either new members or
greater positive public awareness. Our thanks goes to those who
