2007 Annual National Youth Race
This is the 10th great year for the National Youth Race. We are
excited to see the participating entries!
Each year the National Youth Race is held in conjunction with
the AU Convention. The race is another great way to participate
in the sport of racing Homing Pigeons and is the only recognized
youth race in the country. The objective of the race is to
promote greater involvement of AU Junior members in our hobby by
allowing them the camaraderie and friendly competition of
participation in a prestigious national youth event.
The 2007 National Youth Race will be held during the AU
Convention in Detroit, Michigan. Race day will be October 18,
2007. The race will be a 192-mile race from Greenfield, IN. The
loft handler for this one-loft race is Bill Sweeney. The contact
for the youth race is Bob Barnes at 734-480-7400. Feel free to
call the AU office or Bob Barnes if you have any questions. We
will keep you updated on the progress of training as the race
approaches.
