2006 Annual National Youth Race
We are gearing up for the 9th annual National Youth Race and are
excited to see the participating entries!
Each year the National Youth Race is held in conjunction with
the AU Convention. The race is another great way to participate
in the sport of racing Homing Pigeons and is the only recognized
youth race in the country. The objective of the race is to
promote greater involvement of AU Junior members in our hobby by
allowing them the camaraderie and friendly competition of
participation in a prestigious national youth event.
The 2006 National Youth Race will be held during the AU
Convention in southern California. Race day will be November 9,
2006. The race will be a 180-mile race from Tulare, California.
The loft handler for this one-loft race is Robert Lyons
(562-408-0602).
Feel free to call the AU office or the youth race handler if you
have any questions. We will keep you updated on the progress of
training as the race approaches.
We hope you will join us at the convention and watch the birds
return on race day. Please call the AU at 405-848-5801 with any
questions.
Good luck and Congratulations!
